Coaches, Parents, and Wrestlers,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 I Own Florida AAU Wrestling Series. The series gives wrestlers who are 14 & Under an opportunity to get experience on the mat. Wrestling in our state is growing, and we would like to continue to help grow Florida wrestling. Below are the Rules IOF Handbook.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE A 2026 - 2027 AAU MEMBERSHIP. WWW.AAUSPORTS.ORG

I OWN FLORIDA Individual Championship Eligibility:

• The 2026-2027 series will be age-based. AGE OF WRESTLER NOV 28th, 2026. Please be aware that you may be asked for proof of your date of birth.
• The 14-under eligibility age exception date is Sept 1st, 2026, for wrestlers who turn 15 from Sept 1st to November 28th, 2026. Wrestlers who turn 15 before September 1st, 2026, are not eligible for the series. The Sept 1st cutoff exemption does not apply to 9th graders who participate in a FHSAA-affiliated wrestling season.
• Any appropriate-aged wrestler may compete in any in-season IOF with a valid AAU membership. Wrestlers on a High School roster can compete if they meet the age requirements. However, once a wrestler enters the end-of-year playoff individual state series (e.g., in Florida, this would be the District FHSAA IBT), they cannot compete in any further IOF events (including the IOF Championships, regardless of attending 2 events).
• Each wrestler must attend 2 IOF events to be eligible for the IOF Championship (NO EXCEPTIONS).
• Wrestlers must win 5 IOF events, PLUS the Championship to receive the IOF Series Grand Champion Award.
• Wrestlers must win at least 1 match during the tournament to qualify for the win.
• Wrestlers can enter multiple weight classes or age divisions but must win 1 first place at 4 different events.
• Novice (Beginner) Divisions have been added; see information and criteria below
• ONLY 1 ENTRY will be accepted for IOF CHAMPIONSHIPS. (Except with added Novice Division)
• Local IOF events will medal the top 3; the 2027 IOF Championships will medal the top 4
• Any wrestler who attends 7 IOF events PLUS the Championship is eligible to receive the Road Warrior Award.
• ALL tournaments will be loaded into Trackwrestling for tournament hosts.
• ALL WRESTLERS need to PRE- REGISTER and **PREPAY $20 (+trackfees) per Entry** at Trackwrestling.com (*If* Host school allows walk-ups its $50 walk-up)

  SPECTATOR FEES $5 – ALL LOCAL IOF TOURNAMENTS

I OWN FLORIDA TEAM/CLUB CHAMPIONS

Club Series Champions, Club State Champions, and Overall Club Champions.

• Each club wanting to participate in the team Championship must turn in a roster of their scoring team members before the first weekend of the series. (NOV 28)
• Each club can add any wrestler(s) to their roster up to Jan 1st as long as they have not participated in any previous IOF event.
• Any eligible wrestler must wrestle for the same club throughout the series or their team points will be voided.

IOF STATE TOURNAMENT TEAM CHAMPIONS

Each club’s top 15 wrestlers at the IOF State Championships will earn team placement points.

• 1st- 14 points
• 2nd-10 points
• 3rd- 7 points
• 4th- 4 points

IOF REGULAR SEASON TEAM POINTS

● There will be an overall team points standings each week based on the top 15 individuals' results. Wrestlers will score their highest placing for only 1 event each weekend.

• 1st- 5 points
• 2nd-3 points
• 3rd- 2 points
• 4th- 1 points

IOF TEAM GRAND CHAMPIONS

● A combined club total based on each club's regular season points, added to their top 15 wrestlers' IOF Championship points, will be crowned Grand Team Champions.

TOURNAMENT HOSTS

• Must follow IOF weights and age requirements & Enter the weights into Track Wrestling
• Spectator cost for tournaments $5 all TOURNAMENTS
• PRE-PAY ONLINE ONLY ($20) Walk-ups (Late Registration) $50
• Any host not following the rules may be subject to losing their IOF tournament in the future.

Novice (Beginner) Division Addition

The 2026-2027 season will add a Novice (Beginner) division for the IOF Championships for select weight classes and divisions.

This Novice (Beginner) division focuses on providing newer wrestlers with the opportunity to compete against opponents with similar limited skills and experience, with a primary aim of fun over intense competition.

Criteria & Format

• Novice (Beginner) Division is for 1st- or 2nd-year IOF wrestlers only (2025-2026, 2026-2027). Wrestlers who have participated in more than 2 years of IOF events are not eligible for participation, dating back to the 2024-2025 and preceding seasons.
• Must participate with 1 entry in the conventional brackets as well; cannot only wrestle Novice divisions.
• Must still compete in at least 2 IOF events during the season.
• If you are in 9th grade, you are not eligible for the 14U Novice Division. 14U 9th graders are still eligible for conventional brackets.
• Boys and Girls are both eligible for the Novice Divisions if they meet the 2-year max criteria.
• Participation in Novice Division nulls the ability to earn team points for your club in the conventional bracket.
• Entry Fee: $20
• Novice Brackets will be built based upon Madison Block Weight, and flexibility with Age Ranges when necessary; Tournament Director’s discretion.

Tentative Weights & Age Ranges (Match Times)

• (8U - 50, 60, 70, 80) (1-1-1)
• (10U – 60, 70, 80, 90, 100) (1:30-1-1)
• (12U – 70, 80, 90, 100, 120) (1:30-1-1)
• (14U – 100, 110, 120, 130, 145) (1:30-1-1)

2026-2027 IOF AGE & WEIGHT

An athlete’s age division for the entire series is based on how old they are on November 28th, 2026.

GIRLS DIVISION 2026-2027 IOF AGE & WEIGHT
